Requirements
KNOWLEDGE:

of HIPAA and other regulatory policies

of computer systems and associated applications (hardware/software Centricity) in support of organizational, business and department functions

of filing systems and procedures

of grammar, spelling and punctuation, sentence structure and proofreading for accuracy

of insurance regulations, policies and procedures

of medical office procedures, policies, practices and medical terminology

of telephone protocol and etiquette
-
of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment
SKILLS:

in demonstrating telephone protocol and etiquette

in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, physician assistants, staff, insurance carriers, vendors and the public
